With over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry, John is currently Director of Corporate account at Acuity Brands®. Since completing the first LED new construction supermarket, John has been working with national retailers to design great lighting environments that deliver a low total cost of ownership. He is currently working on helping retailers deploy IOT solutions and Indoor Positioning services to help meet their various omnichannel, operational and analytic needs.


Prior to joining Acuity Brands® in 2008, John held various roles at Philips Lighting. John is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Vice President Design Downlights, Accent and Trac Lighting, Acuity Brands

Scott has over 35 years lighting industry experience encompassing product design, marketing, product management and lighting education. Prior to the December 2016 acquisition by Acuity, he served for 18 years as the Vice President Product Design and Lighting Education at Juno Lighting Group. Products Scott has worked on have earned numerous patents and awards including the Industrial Design Excellence Award and LightFair's Most Innovative Product and Technical Innovation Awards. Scott has a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois and an MBA from De Paul University.

Jay Weiland is the Director of Unified Building Solutions for Acuity Brands® where he leads the integration of Distech Controls and the unification of its lighting and HVAC controls platform to optimize building management. Jay graduated with his MBA, magna cum laude from Vlerick Business School in Brussels Belgium and received his B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University.
